ITANAGAR, Oct 26: In all, 29 personalities from across the country were honoured with New Delhi-based Foundation for Accelerated Community Empowerment (FACE)’s Rashtra Vibhushan Award during a national seminar held in New Delhi recently.
Editor of The Arunachal Pioneer, Chopa Cheda, was one among the awardees along with another lady from Assam who represented North East. Chopa was selected for the award under the category of ‘Young Entrepreneur’.
The award was conferred on the personalities working in diversified fields, in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the nation.
Mega serial Mahabharat’s Bhim, Praveen Kumar, who graced the function as the chief guest termed the award as a source of inspiration for the awardees to work in their respective field with renewed zeal and vigour.
Appreciating the NGO for organizing such an event, Kumar said that such a venture should be initiated by the govt instead of an NGO like FACE, which he said, exposed a different story.
