KHONSA, Sep 18: As part of socio-economic and caste census (SECC) 2011 both for urban and rural areas of Tirap and Longding districts, a one day refresher course on claims and objections round for appellant authority, disposing officers, Public Relation Officers PRI leaders was held here today.
The refresher course was organized by the DRDA, Khonsa in collaboration with the other line departments.
Tirap deputy commissioner Kamlesh Kumar Joshi after inaugurating the programme amidst a huge gathering said that claims and objections were as important as the data collection exercise and asked the officials to fill in the forms correctly.
He said that all the schemes would be implemented as per the economic census and asked them to make the lists absolutely error-free.
Lamenting that many genuine BPL families were left out in the past depriving them of beneficial schemes, the DC exhorted the officials not to repeat the lacuna as it will have a far-reaching ramifications in future.
The resource person A K Mishra, senior lecturer explained the importance of the economic census in planning all the development programmes in the two districts. The programme was attended by the BDOs and representatives of other line departments. (DIPRO)
