sdp pasighatPASIGHAT, Sep 30: A 10-day motivation and skill development training programme on drawing, music and painting being organized by SSA Rajya Mission, Itanagar for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe children of primary level got underway here today.
Speaking as chief guest on the occasion, DDSE cum DPO Tani Talom said that after formal education people go for different professions and these types of training equip them to be successful in their chosen profession.
Stating that hard work is key to excel in life, he appealed all the teachers to create a conducive atmosphere for children so that they can develop their talent. Though this is a small beginning, he hoped that it will go a long way in developing personality and creating successful people.
Kalom Ering, dist coordinator (SSA) while exhorting all to take competitions seriously said, “They should develop a mind set to be the best in any chosen field. They should have focused goal in life and toil hard to achieve them. Co-curricular activities help them build their confidence.”
He appealed all to be dedicated and work hard to achieve the goal of their life.
Earlier Neelam Siram state project coordinator (SSA) informed that due to non-availability of facilities many talented children cannot showcase their talent which go wasted.
Citing this as an opportunity for all to expose their talent, he said, this would also help in all- round development of the children and hence, all should take it seriously.
Govt has targeted the young students because they can be guided and moulded, he added.
The winners of the singing, dancing and drawing competitions were given away prizes by the chief guest. (DIPRO)
