Denlo FC lifts Naba Ita Pulu Memorial Football Trophy

ROING, Aug 11: Denlo FC lifted the 4th Naba Ita Pulu Memorial Football Trophy by defeating Cheta FC 3-1 in the final match played at general ground here today amidst thousands of football lovers.
Anjite Menjo of Denlo FC was adjudged the best player of the tournament, while Satish Melo of Cheta FC was the highest scorer with 8 goals and Harish Elopra of Denlo FC got the best goalkeeper’s award. The winning team also got the most disciplined team award.
Lower Dibang Valley Deputy Commissioner Shiv Kumar, the chief guest of the closing function, handed over the trophy to the winning team along with cash prize of Rs 20,000, medallions and certificates. While local MLA Laeta Umbrey handed over the trophy to the runner-up team along with cash prize of Rs 15,000, medals and certificates. The tournament was organized by Dibang Sports Club, Roing in support of Department of Sports & Youth Affairs. (DIPRO)
