ITANAGAR, Jun 18: Stating that the Nabam Tuki govt was giving ‘special’ focus to uplift the rural populace and improve health, education and road connectivity sectors, Parliamentary Secretary for Health & Family Welfare and Civil Supplies Nido Pavitra has called upon the people to participate in State-building process towards achieving its goal of all round development.

He further stated that the govt is coming up with lots of innovative ideas and policies for youths, women as well as rural and urban people in coming days. He was addressing a public meeting at Gemo Tali, a remote village inWest Siangdistrict recently which was organized by the 27th Liromoba Constituency Development Forum.

In his encouraging speech, Lower Subansiri Zilla Parishad Chairperson Likha Tongum, one of the recipients of the ‘Best Performing Zilla Parishad’ award, explained about the procedures on how to avail the central schemes like, old age pension scheme, widow pension, handicapped pension, rural sanitation programs, MG-NREA, MIC, MIP & PMGSY, and how to fight against corruption by using RTI Act in right earnest.

APYC vice president Nyamar Karbak, who chaired the meeting, has stressed on development initiative in the constituency, especially at Kamba circle. Lamenting that the area was lagging far behind in comparison to other constituencies on development front including road sector, he saidDPGCollege, Kamki, ADC office and PHC, Kamba had very poor infrastructures which needed urgent attention of the authority.

Among others, ADC (Kamba) Nyiken Lollen, Col D D Pandey of 21C6 Bihar Regiment (Kaying), retired DIGP Rakshap Yomcha and Bipu Tali, president of 27th Liromoba Constituency Development Forum also spoke on the occasion.
