Bring in healthy work culture: Pema

TAWANG, May 1: While asserting to deliver prompt service to people, RWD & Tourism Minister Pema Khandu has called for bringing in healthy work culture in the State.

While inaugurating the newly constructed ADC office building at Jang in Tawang district today amidst huge gathering, Pema said, “With the end of year-long mourning of Dorjee Khandu’s tragic demise on April 30, it is high time for all of us to work in unison with renewed zest and zeal.”

He exhorted the officers and staff of Jang sub-division to adopt a healthy work culture and emphasize on providing punctual and prompt service to the people, particularly to those coming from far-flung villages.

Recalling the consistent efforts and enormous contributions made by the former Chief Minister, ate Dorjee Khandu in developing Jang as an independent ADC headquarters with required infrastructures, he welcomed the newly constructed ADC office as a significant asset, and said that the infrastructure development is taken due care of by the present govt under the able leadership of Chief Minister Nabam Tuki.

The other required govt buildings in the sub-division shall also be taken up on priority basis, said Pema.

Dwelling on the Tourism infrastructure, he said that all the tourism infrastructures lying idle in the State shall be maintained and brought to its optimum utility at the earliest by leasing it out to interested parties.

Tawang DC Kemo Lollen hailing the standard of infrastructure available at Jang said that it is ‘far better’ than many other districts in the State.

In his address, ADC Duly Kamduk spoke at length about the transition of Jang from an EAC HQrs to the present status.

Former Advisor to CM, Lobsang Phuntsok, who also spoke on the occasion, expressed his satisfaction over the speedy disposal of official works with the coming up of independent ADC HQrs at Jang and expected that the issues pertaining to land compensation for various developmental activities under the sub-division  shall be taken care of on priority by the administration.

ZPM Jang Thingbu Jambey Tsering, in his speech, appealed for development of tourism infrastructure at various viable spots under Jang sub-division.

Tashi, public leader of Jang requested the DC for early functioning of existing sub-treasury office at Jang.

Apart from large number of villagers and local public, SP Tawang SN Mosobi, HoDs, PRI leaders and GBs of Jang sub-division were also present.
